Our service objective is to inspire confidence, commitment and satisfaction in AYS. We believe that it is our staff who hold the key to our success in that aim. All AYS personnel are chosen for their reliability, trust and dedication to the task in hand. Cleaning is, and will remain, a labour intensive service industry, and we believe that a sound and consistent approach to the way in which we treat our staff is one of the main reasons we have so many operatives who have stayed with us for many years. We believe in treating people in the way we expect to be treated ourselves thereby maintaining our high standard and giving testimony to our philosophy of investing in people.
All employees are expected to provide references of their working and activity history for the last three years, confirmation of ID and the correct paperwork e.g.- National Insurance numbers, passports or work permits. This information is checked thoroughly and for contracts of high risk more detailed procedures are followed. In addition to the history check it is a requirement for our staff to sign a confidentiality clause that will cover any documents they may have sight of whilst on site.
As part of each employee’s induction we operate our own training programme. This includes the correct cleaning techniques, the use of equipment and materials, Health and Safety, COSHH, Equipment Safety and how to cope with ‘What to do if....’ Situations.
The standards we strive to maintain are set by the British Institute of Cleaning Science of which AYS is a Corporate Member. A copy of our standards are given to each employee within their Employee Handbook. Also within the handbook is our Health and Safety policy and guidelines, Environmental Policy and guidelines, First MIS treatments, Employment details and contact numbers etc... We find that this is a useful tool in its own right.
AYS constantly reviews our training programmes and seeks regular advice from The British Institute of Cleaning Science, whose methods we incorporate. We also offer and encourage further training within the cleaning industry for our operatives and Management as an incentive for further development.
Uniforms are provided for our staff to wear, giving a professional image for both organisations.
All information collated from clients is passed onto site operatives, keeping them fully informed and allowing them to profile our service more closely to your requirements. We compliment this by ensuring our operatives comments, suggestions and/or complaints are listened to, and wherever appropriate are acted upon promptly.
