For many years AYS have successfully operated uniformed guard security. Operating only within a 30 mile radius of Maidenhead, our senior management and supervisory staff are able to give full support to on-site personnel. Our restriction on distance enables us to provide a rapid management response to emergency situations. Once we have gained a contract we do not stop there - AYS' philosophy is to develop as a proactive integral part of our client's business.
Our blend of utilising technology and manpower in the most cost effective way means that we can offer a complete protection package.
Services include:
All AYS security staff are fully SIA Licensed and taken through a procedure which involves a thorough check of all references and activities for the past 10 years. This procedure is carried out even when staff are taken on through the Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) Act 1981 which AYS comply with. Also required is confirmation of ID and the correct paperwork e.g. - National Insurance numbers, work permits or passports. This information is checked thoroughly and for contracts of high risk more detailed procedures are followed. All staff are expected to sign a confidentiality clause that will cover any documents they may have sight of whilst on site. Our staff are expected to be polite, cheerful and show a pride for their role and respect for our clients at all times.
We operate a 24 hour Control Centre which our guards call at regular intervals, assuring their safety and continual effective surveillance. Management monitor times and their responses accordingly. Should an expected call not be received, measures are in place to provide immediate support, giving reassurance to both clients and guards.
Our staff are supplied with a uniform that meets with the client's approval and requirements. High visibility is essential to be effective and we provide suitable uniforms liaising with the client to gain maximum presence on-site. Uniforms are clearly identified with our AYS logo.
A fully comprehensive Security Manual listing contact information, building and utility authority, work specification and Action Advice is placed on-site, giving our security officers support at all times. The contents of the manual is formally agreed by both companies at the start of the contract. In addition to the manual, an Employee Handbook is also on placed on-site, offering information on employment and Health and Safety issues.
Senior management carry out Quality Audits, the frequency of which we let the client dictate, although we do prefer to hold them on a minimum monthly basis. These audits are accompanied by a client meeting, at which time any issues can be resolved and performance assured.
